Privacy Policy
What ClickMend collects when you scan a page, and what we do with it.
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This policy explains what information ClickMend collects when you use the website, run a Health Check, subscribe, or monitor destinations, and what we do with it. We have written it to describe what the product actually does, not what it might do.
What we collect
- URLs you submit. The destination addresses you enter for scanning or monitoring, and the results of those scans.
- Your email address, when you provide it to unlock a report, subscribe, or receive alerts.
- Your network (IP) address, from ordinary web request logs.
- Scan and monitoring records, scores, detected issues, score history, monitoring settings, and verification status.
- Subscription status from our payment processor: whether you are active, when you renew, and whether a payment succeeded. We never receive or store your card number.
- Free trial and plan details: your plan, when your free trial started and ends, whether you canceled it, and whether you have had a trial before (so each customer gets one trial).
- Technical logs, timestamps, browser information, errors, and abuse-prevention signals.
- Anything you send us when requesting support.
- Page content and business details you give the Lightning Page Builder, such as copy, offers, and images, when you use its AI features.
- Website usage data from Google Analytics 4, such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device type.
Scanned URLs are sent to Google
To measure a page, ClickMend submits the URL you provide to Google's PageSpeed Insights API, which loads and analyzes that page. This means any URL you scan is disclosed to Google and handled under Google's terms and privacy policy. Google's analysis also draws on aggregated real-user performance data for the page where available.
Do not scan URLs that are confidential, that contain sensitive information in the address itself, or that you are not authorized to disclose to a third party. Scanned pages are loaded as an ordinary visitor would load them; we do not submit credentials or access pages behind a login.
Google Ads account data
If you connect a Google Ads account, ClickMend uses read-only access to list the Google Ads account numbers you can reach and to read daily conversion and click totals for them. We use this only to show which accounts are linked and to email you when an account stops recording conversions. We never create, change, pause, or delete campaigns, ads, budgets, or bids, and we never spend money. We store the access key Google gives us in encrypted form. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising. The only outside service that sees it is GoHighLevel, which delivers the alert email to you. You can disconnect at any time from the Account tab in your dashboard or from your Google Account permissions page. When you disconnect, we delete the stored key. ClickMend's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use the free-scan limit
The free tier allows two Health Checks per week. To enforce it, we record a count against your email address and your IP address in a weekly bucket. This is abuse prevention, it is why we retain an IP address alongside a scan, and the counter resets each week.
How we use information
- To run scans and deliver scores, issues, estimates, fixes, history, monitoring, alerts, and verification records.
- To enforce free-tier limits and prevent abuse of the service.
- To process your subscription and contact you about billing, security, service changes, or support.
- To improve scoring accuracy and service reliability.
- To send monitoring alerts you have enabled.
We do not sell your information. We do not share your scanned URLs with other customers. We do not use your data to advertise to you on other platforms.
Payments and free trials
To start a plan or a free trial, you enter your payment card on Stripe's secure checkout page. Stripe collects and stores your card details. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe may share the card brand, the last four digits, and the expiration date with us, so we can show them to you and name the card in billing emails. We store your trial start and end dates and your plan status so we know when your trial ends and what you can use.
Emails we send
When you run a Health Check and give us your email, we send you the scan report. We may also send up to five follow-up emails about your scan. Every follow-up has an unsubscribe link, and we stop when you use it. We also send account, billing, and alert emails you have turned on. We may email you billing reminders, such as a note before a free trial ends. These are billing notices about your account, so they can be sent even if you unsubscribed from follow-up emails. Email delivery and our customer records run through GoHighLevel.
AI Builder and OpenAI
When you use the AI features of the Lightning Page Builder, we send page content and business details to OpenAI so it can write the page. We send only what is needed to write the page. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent through the API is not used to train its models.
Hosted landing pages and visitor data
Pages built with ClickMend can be hosted by us at yourname.clickmend.com or on a customer's own domain. These pages may collect a visitor's name, phone number, email address, and any form answers. We collect this for the ClickMend customer who owns the page, and we deliver it to that customer. For this data, the customer decides why it is collected and we act as a processor on their behalf. Leads are delivered to the customer's GoHighLevel account, or by email through our GoHighLevel account, so a copy stays in that system's message history. We keep a 90-day delivery log so we can fix delivery problems, then delete it. If a delivery fails, ClickMend support gets a notice with the lead so we can get it to the customer. We do not use this data for our own marketing.
Public verification and the Results Board
ClickMend Verified records are designed to be public for eligible monitored destinations, and may show the destination, current score, verification state, last verified date, selected metrics, and score history. We will not publish your company name, URL, or results without your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we will remove or anonymize the record.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to operate: Cloudflare (hosting, storage, request logs, and Turnstile bot checks), Google (PageSpeed Insights analysis, as described above, and Google Analytics 4), Google Ads API (only if you connect an account, as described above), Stripe (payment processing and card handling), GoHighLevel (email delivery and customer records), and OpenAI (AI page writing, as described above). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in to a purchased session and to remember your email between scans. We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to measure how people use the site. We do not run advertising or remarketing tags on this site. Cloudflare Turnstile may use a small amount of browser data to tell people from bots.
Retention
Scan results and monitoring history are retained while your account or monitoring is active, so we can show you score changes over time. Free-tier counters expire weekly. Logs are retained for a limited period for security and abuse prevention. Billing records are retained as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, including your scan history and email address, by emailing support@clickmend.com. You can unsubscribe from monitoring alerts and marketing email at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we will honor valid requests under those laws.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
ClickMend is a business service and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product and our provider stack change. The "last updated" date above will be revised, and we will give notice of material changes by email where we have your address.
